We are challenging ourselves to live on $25 a day each for 14 days this is part one of a two-part series.
Is it possible for us to rent a hotel, eat all of our meals, have local transportation, do some sightseeing and just living on $25 a day each. Is it possible?

We visit local markets and show you what a backpacking or Social Security budget might buy you. Additionally, we'll take you on a tour of Cambodian street food in Phnom Penh and show you how far you can stretch your retirement budget.

If your goal is early retirement, you'll want to take a look into your personal finance to find out when you can retire. Retirement planning is critical and your money will go a lot further in Southeast Asia than many other countries.

If you're not yet at retirement age but just want to travel, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam are excellent options for cheap travel. Watch this video to get a better idea of just how far you can stretch your money.

I will show you you can get a hotel room for $10 a night, eat three meals a day for $10 a day, and $5 a day for miscellaneous items you need such as transportation, entertainment, etc.

Southeast Asia is cheap. On $25 a day you are not going to live like a king or a queen. You will be able to live on this budget and be able to live in a foreign country. Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand are three Southeast Asian countries that may be a great retirement option.

Maybe you would like to have the time to write a travel blog, write your famous novel, or have all the time for yourself to create an online business. Living in Southeast Asia and traveling in these countries with low overhead will allow you the time and budget to let your creative energy work.
