Athletes and Fitness - Why you shouldn't compare yourself to professional athletes

Athletes and Fitness - Why you shouldn't compare yourself to professional athletes Thank you very much for watching

In today's video, I look at the fitness habits of athletes and discuss why you shouldn't compare yourself with them.

Firstly athletes have trained for a long time (since they were kids really). So if you're someone that's been training for a year or 2 years, you are still 2 decades behind them

Second is genetics. Like with celebs athletes are gifted with good genes. While most of their progress is due to their effort and dedication, how they look is still dictated by their genes.

Third, it is their job. Athletes spend 8-10 hours per day focusing on their fitness. How fit they are directly affects how many games they play and indeed how well they play.

Fourth, athletes sell shit. Athletes sell products because that's what makes them money. If you use these products you won't look or perform like them at all. The most infuriating example of this being the ab stimulation device sold by athletes like Ronaldo. These are, for the most part, useless products sold through athletes who are being paid a lot to do the same.

And last but not least is the use of special juices. Athletes abusing steroids is not a new thing. In fact you can just google athletes and steroid abuses to find a list of athletes banned for using these substances. These substance definitely give the athletes an advantage you don't have and can of course make them look much better and much more athletic than the average human being.
