
According to The Australian's Adam Creighton the government was expecting "over 800,000 overseas migration of the next three years and of course it's more likely to be zero".
Mr Switzer told Sky News host Peta Credlin the government could only allow such people to migrate to Australia if "they spend a lot of money and then invest a lot of money".
"Let's go for the best and make sure they invest a lot of money in this country to create jobs rather than take jobs" Mr Switzer said.
Mr Creighton said Australia is certainly going to be "very attractive" for the elderly population in Europe and America who "don't want to live with the COVID virus" and may be willing to pay "many millions of dollars each looking for a visa to move here".
