Dressing up a shower with custom marble sills for the curb knee wall and bench seat, is a great way to finish those difficult to tile areas. The sills reduce the number of grout lines and can compliment the shower if the same material as the vanity top is used to pull everything together. In this video I give a detailed look at how to install the marble trim elements on the curb, half wall and bench seat. These require exact measurements and careful installation. Unlike tile, you only get one chance to get it right. Cut it too short and you will have to have new pieces fabricated. I will show you how to measure and install the Curb Top, sill, the knee wall top and end as well as the bench seat. It is very important to pitch all these elements so water that falls on them flows back into the shower and not out toward the bathroom. All tile installed by Sal DiBlasi, Elite-tile Company, in the Boston North Shore area.
