What you're looking to do is to make sure that when you look back at that 'written word' in two years' time it is still going to be something that is relevant. That even if it is 'of its time', as in now, that it's not going to look like you've totally and utterly changed everything and that you decided that actually what you wrote was just complete and utter rubbish. So think about that, and it's true pretty much of all of the other ones as well, both the 'seen word' and the 'spoken word'. Everything leaves clues nowadays, everything leaves tracks. You cannot put yourself out there and not find somebody mentioning it at some stage later on.
