Days after releasing her much acclaimed debut album BEFORE LOVE CAME TO KILL US which included appearances from Eminem and 6LACK, Jessie Reyez surprises fans with three new songs from the album's deluxe edition. A highlight of the offering is FAR AWAY II, a remix of the previously released FAR AWAY, now featuring verses from hitmaker A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and JID of J Cole's Dreamville camp.
The song is a perfect blend of pop, R&B and hip-hop and fans of all three genres are sure to love it it. Jessie's relatable lyrics and vulnerable yet powerful performance will bring about empathy in even those who haven't experienced what she sings about. Speaking of which, it's great to hear a song about a topic that brings a lot of pain but usually gets brushed under the carpet and isn't often expressed. JID's closing verse putting an Andre 3000-esque touch of class and thought to the track and is the icing on the cake for what will surely prove to be a crossover hit.
