With EIDL funding we are at 9.5% of businesses who have applied have received funding. This is a much needed increase after a few days of no increase. Yesterday we were at 7.4% of businesses funded through the EIDL

The median EIDL advance amount is $5,000 which means the median company size is 5 employees.

More and more accounts of people actually receiving the loan amount above the EIDL grant amount are coming out however I was told to expect to wait at least 2 weeks after receiving EIDL advance funding for the SBA to reach out with info on the loan for most businesses.

I also personally have not received any communication from the SBA since receiving my ghost payment last Thursday.

On to PPP news we have some more good news! As of today we are at 8.6% of businesses funded according to covidloantracker.com This is up from 7.8% the last several days in a row.

If you’re waiting on additional funding for the PPP and EIDL programs as of the recording of this video the senate and the house has agreed on an additional $310 billion dollars in funding with $60 billion of that slotted for the EIDL program. President Trump is expected to sign off on the funding later on today.

A few more pieces of stimulus check news:

California passed legislation that creditors cannot garnish stimulus check payments. I believe this is a step in the right direction and we’ll likely see this in other states as well.

I think people should eventually pay their debts that are due but this is not the time. People need to focus on survival right now, not overdraft fees.

Lastly, it’s not too late to input your direct deposit information into the get my payment tool on the IRS site
-Direct deposit best in most cases
-Still might get a check
-remember taxes may not yet be processed

Moving on to security features:

As you know I have been vigilant in making sure you are all aware of potential scams so now that stimulus checks are being mailed out I wanted to point out all of the security features so you can spot a fake.

First step is looking out for warning signs:
- higher than expected
-vague information
-odd amounts like $1200.34
-check and a request to do something

If you’re suspicious at all, move to the next step of identifying security features.

-Check the watermark on the seal. If you smudges red you are looking at a legitimate check
-Look for micro-printing on the back
-Look for watermarks
-Look for UV
